Stellarium

“Stellarium”takes us on a journey into the universe — into the vast and mysterious expanse of outer space. From the very first sounds, a bitonal musical language transports the audience into another world. Shimmering soundscapes unfold, where the familiar and the unknown coexist. Spacey fanfares, grooving rhythms, and lyrical melodies come together to create a rich, immersive cosmic atmosphere.
Two offstage trumpets, positioned in different parts of the hall behind the audience, represent, among other things, shooting stars: fleeting, luminous phenomena that cross the space and create a striking three-dimensional sonic experience. The percussion sparkles in a multitude of colours— rich in effects, glittering and shimmering like cosmic dust. In contrast, a floating chorus, sung by the musicians themselves, evokes a distant reminder of our humanity.
Towards the end, the sound gradually becomes denser and denser, until it is inevitably drawn into a black hole. Nothing remains but silence.
