Data we collect and why

This website collects personal data only when you provide it or when it is technically necessary:

  • Contact form: name, e-mail address, subject and message – to answer your request (legal basis: your consent / pre-contractual steps).
  • Concert submission form: name of the ensemble, conductor, venue, city, country, date, ticket link and, optionally, your e-mail address – to review and publish the concert in the calendar and to get back to you if needed (legal basis: your consent). Once validated, the concert details (ensemble, venue, date) are published on the website; your e-mail address is never published.
  • Server logs: IP address, browser, pages requested – kept by the hosting provider for security purposes (legal basis: legitimate interest).
  • Anonymous statistics: page views are counted with Koko Analytics, a tool installed on this website that sets no cookie and stores no identifying information.
  • Embedded content (Spotify, SoundCloud, the Facebook news feed, YouTube): Spotify and SoundCloud players and the Facebook feed are only loaded if you accept cookies in the banner; YouTube videos are only loaded after you click on them. Once loaded, the provider may set its own cookies, receive your IP address and collect data according to its own policy.

Retention

Messages sent through the forms are kept for a maximum of 12 months after the request has been handled, then deleted. Concert submissions are kept as long as the concert is published in the calendar. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider in accordance with its own policy.

Recipients and hosting

Your data is processed by Georges Sadeler only and is not sold or passed on to third parties. It is stored on servers of o2switch located in France (European Union). Form messages are also delivered to the e-mail addresses of Georges Sadeler.

Cookies and third-party services

This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse the cookies of the embedded music players; you can change your choice at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer. The following items may be set:

  • a functional cookie remembering your language choice (pll_language, 1 year);
  • Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the forms against spam and may process technical data (IP address, browser) – see Cloudflare’s privacy policy;
  • embedded players (Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube): Spotify and SoundCloud players are only loaded if you accept cookies in the banner; YouTube videos are only loaded after you click on them. Once loaded, the provider may set its own cookies and collect data according to its own policy.

Your rights

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@georges-sadeler.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg supervisory authority, the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD).

Security

Reasonable technical measures are in place to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access to the administration area, anti-spam protection and regular backups.
