Licht und Schatten

"Licht und Schatten" is a work for choir that explores the contrasts between light and darkness through music. The composition is based on various quotations that deal with these two fundamental images.
By linking these different quotations, a musical tension is created between light and darkness, hope and doubt, closeness and distance. The music takes up these contrasts and allows them to merge, resulting in a multi-layered soundscape.
